FAQs
Why is an emergency announcement not appearing on one screen?

Open Configure Screen for that display, select Alerts, and confirm Emergency Alert Overrides is enabled. For CAP messages, CAP Alerts must also be enabled and the account must have a connected CAP feed. Manual announcements are account-wide, but only eligible screens interrupt their timelines. If the screen is offline, restore its network connection before relying on remote alerts.

Why did scheduled content start or stop at the wrong time?

Edit the item and check its start and end values. Confirm the administrator’s computer clock and timezone were correct when the schedule was entered, and verify the screen’s timezone under Configure Screen if time is displayed. Competing signage platforms flag device time and timezone as the first check for schedule drift, and the Rocket player refreshes at the next schedule boundary.

Do I need the TV remote for setup or troubleshooting?

For most external-player setups, yes. The remote is needed to change HDMI inputs, connect the TV to a network, and disable consumer-TV prompts or interactive settings. Locate the correct remote before a support appointment and keep it near the display in a labeled location.

The RocketSignage player is running, but the TV shows another source. What is wrong?

The TV is probably on the wrong input. Use the TV remote to select the HDMI port where the RocketSignage Stick or media player is connected. Confirm the player’s power cable is connected too. Label the correct remote and HDMI input after setup; support calls show that a missing remote can stop an otherwise quick fix.
